Globecraft Memories Glitter Dome Ornament

I made a super fun globe in time for the fall season. Here in Hawaii though, it sure does not feel like fall. It is still hard to get into the fall spirit when it is 85 degrees, sunny, and the beach and palm trees are all around me. But in the little sliver of hope I went forward with the pumpkin theme and attempted to feel fall.

Supplies used:

Art Glitter: Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, 3D Embossit Adhesive, #53 Persimmon Ultrafine Opaque Glitter, #85 Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter, fine tips

Globecraft Memories: Create & Craft Ornament (Landscape), Piccolo Enamel Powder in 24K Gold

SEI Homestead Collection: Paper, Pearl, and Flower

Bella Creationz: Twine, Tag, and Clothespin

Helmar: Double stick adhesive

I started by cutting down paper to fit inside the frame. I used double stick adhesive and attached the paper to the frame.

Then did the same to the other side of the frame, so the pumpkin pattern was on each side.

IMG_0164

My next step was to decorate the other two frames. I used Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and #53 Permission Opaque glitter and glittered one side of each frame.

I then took the 3D Embossit and a fine tip and created a scalloped pattern around the frame.

I poured on 24K Gold Enamel Powder, and shook it off. Of course, at this point, I forgot to take pictures, but I will explain. I let the 3D Embossit and Enamel Powder completely dry. Overnight to be exact. The next day, I heated it it back up with a heat gun and it created a metallic look to it.

So onto the next parts of my project.

I used the fine tip again and outlined one of the pumpkins with Designer Dries Clear. I then added Permission glitter again and shook it off.

Once dry, I added some twine from Bella Creationz, and clothespin and a decorated tag. I also added some Gold Tattered Angels Spray.

IMG_0230

I turned it over, and added some twine to the back to make a loop so I could hang it.

IMG_0234

I attached the globe and then the frame with Designer Dries Clear to the “front” side.

IMG_0241

I flipped it over and added some Crystal Glitter to the back, and sandwiched on the globe, then the frame.

And Ta-Da! My finished Ornament for Fall!

Thanks for stopping by, and sorry for the mess. I have been living in a hotel room the last month. I am eagerly awaiting my new craft room, which may be a few more months, but I keep on crafting.

Three Glittered Squares

Todays project is a very simple glitter one. It all started with three blank small canvases.

IMG_0464

I wanted to make something fun with my Dazzlers!

IMG_0467

I used four different colors, #D11 Roulette, #D31 Patriot, #D12 Surf’s Up, and #D58 Party Time

I used Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and painted a strip of the adhesive down the middle, and poured on one of the three solid colors of Dazzlers on each of the canvases, and then shook it off.

IMG_0473

Then I painted the rest of the canvas with more Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, and poured on the multicolor Dazzler, #D58 Party Time to all of them.

IMG_0491

After shaking off the glitter, they looked a little something like this.

IMG_0562

Or turn them like this,

Here is a close up of each one.

Once we get a house out here in Hawaii I want to hang these up! I like them both directions so it is so difficult on which way to hang them. Comment on which direction you like best, to help me decide!

Now be sure to stop on over to the Art Glitter Blog and see what I created using glitter over there!

Keep on glittering!

Glitter Star

In case you missed my post on the Art Glitter Blog.

Being patriotic does not just stop at the 4th of July though! Being a military wife, we celebrate year round, and there is nothing more pretty than a glittered star! Best thing is, you can change the colors and make one for any season, holiday, country, or event. I chose to use blue and silver to use for the holidays and to use as a nautical star after!

Products used:

Wooden Star (picked up at a local craft store)

Designer Dries Clear Adhesive

#84 Shiney Si Ultrafine Opaque Art Glitter

#D31 Patriot Dazzlers Art Glitter

Paint Brush

I started by using the #D31 Patriot Dazzlers and painted a section of the star with the adhesive. I then sprinkled the glitter on, shook it off, and proceeded to the next section. When I was done with the blue, I moved on to the #84 Shiney Si Ultrafine Opaque doing the same thing.

I finished it off by painting the trim with Designer Dries Clear and sprinkled #84 Shiney Si glitter around the edges to give it a clean finish.

I hope you enjoyed this simple glittered project. I had a lot of fun with this one, and loved mixing the glitter sizes.
