I am.
It’s true.
WHY? Well, I HATE cleaning! I love my time, but I do not like to spend it cleaning. I love cooking though. I also love to bake. But then again, I hate cleaning up the mess I made.
Luckily, we have no kids yet. (otherwise I am sure I will be spending every spare minute cleaning).
Does anyone have any tricks or tips on how I can keep my house up, and enjoy doing the things that I LOVE doing, like crafting, reading a good book, and spending time with my puppy?
Maybe its because we rent, and I feel like the house is never mine – FYI --- all the walls are WHITE… every. single. one. yuck! I have another 6 months and then I will be moving back to MN for 6 months, and then hopefully. HOPEFULLY. We will live somewhere where we can afford to buy a house we have been dreaming about. It only means we will have to be landlords then too… But I think if I would love it, someone else will too! Right?
I can only dream right now. Only dream…
Peace. Love. Dove.

Boy, you have my sympathy. My husband and I decided that we just didn't want to spend our time cleaning, I work full time (teaching, lots of late hours), so we hired someone to clean for 2 hours a week. It's just amazing what she can do in that long, and she only charges $12 an hour, so I think it's well worth it. I spend my time picking up after hubby (LOL) and whatever I think I should be doing, and the house is almost always okay, hurray! I keep telling my cleaning lady that she's worth her weight in gold to me!
I despise cleaning! I mean, what's the point?? You clean and it's immediately dirty again! We rented for 12 years before buying, so I feel your pain with the white walls!! I have to say, I love having my house and all it's glorious color but I still hate cleaning. I try to spend 30 minutes a day on it...dust one day, vacuum another, bathrooms a third day, etc. That way I feel like I've done my "wife duty" and I don't feel guilty for scrapping! Of course, if I didn't have to pick up after the husband/kids/dog I would have a LOT more time~lol!
I agree cleaning is taking up my precious crafting time. Just stopping by to check out your blog and I’m so glad I did! I’m now following you too.

The best advise I ever got about cleaning was to do the job I hated, had been putting off or didn't want to do FIRST, then everything after that is so much easier! My mother words ring in my ears now I'm a Mum "Don't put down,Put away!"
